The bolt spacing is right but it would get in the way of the op rod 9 bucks off eBay was worth a shot

I think it could work with some mods

travis @Definitive Dave has elbows for those if you need longer carb studs for it use 044 or 046 carb studs and the filter stands vertical

Clean up and evaluate.

Fuel line is too short and a tiny filter. Otherwise it runs fine.

my 028 i sent to scott is nastier than that.

That's too clean for a twisty cap 26. Very nice mine will never look like your saw

Today it's a Poulan 3400, just needs a piston and a good cleaning. Previous owner apparently used a screwdriver for a piston stop and messed up the top of the piston. I checked the cylinder and it looked okay. I'm freezing the piston pin tonight and hopefully it will go into the rod without much hassle..these saws don't have circlips they just have a tight fit between the piston pin and the rod. The bearings are on the piston instead of the rod end, different...
