wheres the pics of them and how much time is on them ?

Didn't take any pictures, the "Big Saw" was an almost brand new looking MS 290, had a bunch of fishing line wrapped around the clutch, a stripped starter pawl, and a 3/8 chain on a wore out .325 bar. the other is a brandy new MS 193 T that had the bar and chain off, had drop damage.

A 445 that belongs to a "professional" arborist.

I noticed the tag says "check over"...what exactly does that mean? I get guys that drop stuff off and want it "checked over". I look at it at the parts counter and say it looks fine...now what's wrong with it and what exactly do you want me to do? What do you guys do with "check over"?

For us check over just means give it a general inspection and make sure everything is working like it is supposed to.

Do you charge a flat rate for that for each piece? And what if something is broke...do you fix it or always call first with an estimate. Just curious how other shops do stuff.

$35.00 flat rate, unless it is something very minor we never fix anything without calling with an estimate first. If something is broke it goes on the estimate.

Check over means take it out and cut two cords of firewood.

20170524_173102.jpg 20170524_173052.jpg Found a 017 I forgot I got in a trade a year ago. It had been sitting in a building still had fuel in it for a couple years and wouldn't start they said. Finally drained the fuel yesterday and flushed out the fuel system including the carb. Fired right up and seemed to idle and rev fine. Ordered a new fuel line, fuel and air filter, and plug for it.

Mike's gonna like that.
On a not so sarcastic note, thanks Randy. Mikes a good dude. I want him to have a sweet azz saw. This saw has a ton of new parts in it and I spent some extra time on the port work and the cosmetics. No holds barred on this one.

Mike is a good dude. One of my favorite customers. Over the years I've done a saw or two for him.....and yes.......he does deserve it.

Will you port my toro powerlite snowblower and make it direct drive instead of belt drive. I'm waiting by my phone for your text with price quote. K thanks bye.
