I didn't try that, I'll fiddle with it again when I get the dang chance. Was hoping to do it tomorrow, but we are having an echo power equipment sale so it looks like wrench time is outta the question. haha

Course my saw slush funds are depleted when a good one pops up. I got a parts 910 that has helped me greatly if I need a part for the 930. I was going to save the 910 but the gas tank had horrible mag rot. I think most were used up logging back in day.

Bikemike go further with that muffler mod. Cut the stepped sectionnall the way out, right back up to the outlet.

You'll also want to advance the timing 8 degrees. Its around 1.1mm off the cast on key. I have done a truck load and they become very angry little saws!

Another gain is removing the saftey bumpers from the chain and increasing the top plate angle to around 33°. They still produce that silky like cut but you can spear and box cut like a 200t.

I love climbing with mine! So light that i thought i had dropped it of my harness the other day:eusa_doh:

Well I can still go bigger on the exhaust but for now it runs strong with limiters gone, timing advance, and muffler mod and flared exhaust deflector. Only made about 10 cookies with some old maple then brought out a bigger cedar log and made a few good cuts. I can push on this saw vs stock where you just sit and wait for it to do its job. IL decided on more mm work once a have 10 tanks or so.
It's 10x better than the stock saws we have at work

This thing is on my bench. Couldnt pass up a late model 066 for $65. Came with the bar and chain. Has at least a roasted piston. Probably from the slam packed air filter thats on it. Piston is rough on the exhaust side but cant see any scoring on the intake side cylinder wall through the exhaust port. Havent pulled the jug yet to see if it is salvageable. Also needs two stripped lower muffler mount holes fixed and two new bar studs. Id say it was worth it for at least the entertainment.
