I am going to go against the grain here and say that I really like this carb. Nothing in it to oxidize or corrode, only one jet to clean, simple. I have only ever had two that I could not fix just by popping the bowl off and blowing it out.
Okkkkkkay ..Now im confused . Didnt you say you hated them ! :D

View attachment 66596 Fixed a non functioning kill switch on my 372. They get packed with sawdust inside. All you got to do is carefully pop off white back part to blow out inside and make sure contacts are clean. Took 5 min to save 5$.
That's a good tip! Put that in the tec section P&T @Jon1212

Yep, same one. Not sure what I can and can't pull apart yet either cause I don't want to break something. Guess if I do it's not to costly! lol

The hole of the white plastic bit comes out with a thin blade screw driver levering "Gently "on the long sides. It has a O ring and snaps in and out. Main jet inside it. Oh...be carful on re assemble ...There is a lose venturi tube to line up in the body when you put the jet mount back in.

My 024 came with a "new" wt426 when I bought it. It looked brand new, but didnt bother opening it up. I put it all together and pulled it 20 times and nothing. Good spark, but a totally dry plug. I installed a wt194 copy and it fired right up. It ran pretty good, but idled kind of rough and wasn't running as well as it should.

Today I decided to open up that "new" 426 and the fuel inlet screen was totally black. I guess that the fuel wasn't getting through whatever that was. I cleaned the screen up with a little brake clean. Everything else was spotless and the gaskets all looked and felt new. Installed it today, dialed it in and it idles and runs much better.

Its no bad thing to pop a new carb apart to check out the metering hight and to check for the odd small bit of aluminium swarf iv found. The WT 194 copies i have used have often had a few machining bits in them and in need of adjustment.

Can't decide where I want to go with this one, need a top end kit. If the rest of the parts had been close to mint I would gladly sacrificed my new oem kit. Part of me just want to wait until there pop up a used XP jug.....if I go the full rebuild the case should get painted as well....

While I did a bit thinking I epoxied a couple generators.

Got bored, and made a tool.

I Hate these new stupid briggs plastic carbs, two in a row I had come in....cleaned them up and the engines surge. One was just fine....fired it up today after a few days sitting and the dumb thing is surging again. Entire fuel system was cleaned and flushed. Well, least if they both need new carbs I can get them for $42. But it sucks that they won't run right. Have to do some more investigating I suppose. Who'd a thought that carbs would ever be made of plastic.
Also went through the fuel system on an MS210, new carb, filter, and spark plug and she runs like a champ. Least That carb wasn't plastic! lol

lawn boy used to use a white plastic carb back in the day. i ran into thisd problem. did you change the 3 section white nozzle. also ive had really go results out of a ultra sonic cleaner
