Husky 350 on the bench I rebuilt awhile ago. Did a base delete and put a flat top piston in it. Could never get it running right. Would run a little on choke then die. Rebuilt the carb ( again) , and even tried another carb. Same thing. After sitting for a couple months I decided to check it out again. I found where the impulse line meets with the cylinder is deformed and melted inside. No air will pass through it.

Thanks, I hadn't seen this.

I thought about some porting, but I didn't even get as far as seeing if my tools would fit in the tiny spaces.

The muffler mod seems to perked it up a bit, will add 5 degrees advance next.

Left work yesterday with a serviced 029 farm boss on my bench. Also working on a shindaiwa t230. Been sitting for awhile. Went through the fuel system and she purrs like a kitten.

Uptick on the saws I'm working on: The Echo 650 has a broken starter case so I'm done with that one. I doubt the owner wants to put that much money into it. A fairly new Craftsman/Poulan saw just needed a little cleaning and the chain rakers filed down a bit, they were higher than the cutters, I think..Craftsman micro, has a chain that was about 10 links too long so I swapped it out, also swapped a carburetor off another micro onto it and put in a new fuel line. I cleaned and kitted the carb first. Haven't run it yet though. There's a Stihl 028 that needs crank seals and then there's the Dolmar 5100S that will have to wait for a later time, don't have the tool to take the seal out of the flywheel side of the Stihl and the Dolmar has parts ordered. The only thing to check out now is a Craftsman 2.8, don't know much about it except it has compression..

Built another ported chinese 372 runs real good how much are you guys advancing the timing it's been a while i was thinking .20 thousands off the cast in key maybe you guy's have a better idea or don't advance at all also 40/1 red armor 5 gallons through it so far I've exceeded Todd's five minute lifespan estimate of this china saw lol

Heads up if you need some Mr gasket 29132 motoseal is 7.46 a tube shipped from walmart.com i went to buy some at a part's store 12.50 maybe you guy's get it cheaper not around here though it's as much as yamabond lol

I thought finally my local husky dealer actually had something in stock i was playing with a dust covered 372 it's been there about five years and didn't look at the clamp he sold me i gave him the boot and everything for a jonsered 920 and of course the clamp is too big lol

A friend of mine bought a horse float full of junk and found this in a box.
He dropped it on my bench and said "all yours"

Cylinder looks fine through the top.
Not really sure if it's worth the effort?

A bunch 199 troublemakers.......


All has new K24 HDA kit, and all of them keep preasure and their level is set flush with the body.
2 of them has the same issue, H=1/4 turn
1 of them has a different issue, L=0 turn
I'm tired of them!!!

Is there an alternative i haven't had any trouble with those i can remember.

Currently working on an old honda mid tine rotortiller. Fuel system work...been sitting.
Also went through the fuel system on an fs130. Runs like a top.
