A bunch 199 troublemakers.......
View attachment 63225

All has new K24 HDA kit, and all of them keep preasure and their level is set flush with the body.
2 of them has the same issue, H=1/4 turn
1 of them has a different issue, L=0 turn
I'm tired of them!!!
I think Tree monkey had a fix for these. I saw a thread on this a while back.
Maybe a K22 kit if memory is correct. Someone help out.
One time Randy was looking for these.

Advance it a whole key or more and try it.
Really?
Will they take that much?

I have a little 024AV with wire mesh filter, dual ported muffler and ported, and a .030 ish advance felt like it did nothing for it.
It's just ... dull.
No real zip to it.

I just had a thought. I ported it using the scored OEM piston and fitted a new Hyway piston to it.
I wonder if the Hyway piston has shorter skirts which has given me excessive intake?

Back to the degree wheel with it

I always try to stay with 199's, well, as long I got spares

thanks for asking :)
In slowly progress, for awhile they thought there where some medecine side effects, result from shoulder MR came and there was infections due work, guess they belive its the main issue now.

This 024 is getting a new meteor. Never seen such a clean saw have so much carbon and ash inside. Should have measured the squish. Must have been very tight. Muffler was packed too. I think he must have run it on water cooled mix.

Hence, my reason for going more. I have about. 020" of key left and it's better than stock. Something has to work, they're dogs stock

I have a whole garage full of saws now needing work. I do two or three a day normally. I get a dog every now and then that refuses to cooperate...Ever hear of a Hitachi? Someone brought one of those in that won't run, man that carburetor is cramped in there!

I just completely went through this low hour 2005 357xp I found on Michigan Craigslist about 6 months ago. It needed a few little parts, deleted the base gasket (squish is .023), put on a new caber ring (compression is 170), put on a new muffler that was modded by Laslab John (it came on my like new 357xp that I had ported by Mastermind) and a complete cleaning top to bottom. I have not fired it up yet because of picture #4. What did I miss? I know they are not the wrist pin circlips, I checked to be sure when I put the cylinder down with 518. They measure about .031 in diameter.
