Plan to put one 346 together, I have one silly bearing question
Using the oven like yesterday, is there anything I should be worry about when it goes to the pto bearing who have the seal installed?

On that bearing style.......it is probably best to have the bearing on the crank first, then heat the case half. Drop bearing, crank and all in at once.

Thanks Randy. Yes, I agree with you, I don't think the seal would survive the way I did those two 362 yesterday. I will follow your advise :)

Okey, I needed some parts today so I drove to a nice shop lol, parts I missed to those two 346 oe that I want to finish building, got one xpg handle + chain brake handle, fair price, 25$.
Most people know that I have tryed to stock up a few 242 pto bearings, those who is NLA, I've paid 35-70$ each so far, I asked him if he had any at all. It seemed they had 3 left, I was allowed to buy one, price 5$

On the way home, I stopped and picked up some freebies, Husky 55, and a couple 40.

I've been most busy figure out what type service I can find in Norway.
We have at least two companies who exchange crank rod bearing. I also found one company who do nikasil work on snow scooters. Same company is also Wiseco dealer.
Found one place in Norway who do nikasil work on chainsaws, price is 2600 nok + 25% taxes, closely 300$
They do bewel ports, going that route it would be best porting, squish and everything for then sending to them for new nikasil

Only thing I'm wondering right now is where is your lathe, mandrels and fordom going;)

I've got some plans for my shop this summer. It's not going to be as nice as yours but compared what it looks like right now anything will be better:D

Such a nice shop! I plan to copy the idea hanging stuff from saw chain. Btw nice IH sticker!
Thanks! Go for it I was making a chain and it hit me. I think it's the sticker they reproduce for the 66 series.

a thousand likes
I use the led shop lights too but love hanging them from chain :)
I also use those wire rack shelves, super handy and fit the bulk parts bin boxes perfectly.
We installed the wheel kits on the shelves and it makes reconfiguring the shop super easy when needed.
I really need to rebuild my shop, so envious of that setup right now

an empty coffee cup, some dirty rags and a few saws that need to be finished. The wife is sick - so we are headed for the doctor shortly.
All the other stuff can wait :abrazo:
