Spent 1/2 my day cleaning up another 066, man those guys who use these for work sure know how to get them dirty.
Did a bit of assembly, spent a long time searching my stashes for small parts!! Removed the old seals, flywheel side was fun, boy they sure were hard. So waiting for seals and a muffler. Then I have a 288 than needs some luv,,,

I got pretty deep inside this 6000. It was leaking bar oil all along the seam.

I loctited and re-torqued all the bolts to clean that up. View attachment 53536

There were these seam edges that were cracked and raised, looking like they were ready to break loose so I broke em loose.View attachment 53537 View attachment 53538

Then after one peek at these transfers I knew it was time to get the felling axe and wedge out to do a little work on em. View attachment 53539

Nice work! As far as my experience goes, those transfers are the reason they are unbelievable milling saws. See the same transfer design in the 144,152/3 & 166.

Put a step into the exhaust?

What is the bar fitted? Looks awesome!

Waiting on the piston for that 026 so I started tearing into these 046's. Got some major carbon buildup going on.

1964 Dodge W300 that acquired a '70-'71 cab along the way. I have the proper '64 cab and sheet metal they just haven't found their way on yet.View attachment 53656

Nice!

1966 I found 8/9 years ago, had a soil core sample drill on the back.

Had a MU on the front not a LU, showed it to Aaron, he said it was orignal, and you could get a MU if you want'd. Few and far between thou, most had LU's.

Perhaps we should make a thread about those 42/242/246 chainsaws ;)[/QUOTE]

Do you have any pictures of the 242 ports and transfers versus the 42
