You sent it home with a dry tank....damn thing won't crank. :D

That cheap skate, every saw Randy has sent me he has, siphoned the gas out of it, before shipping it back.

Can't even do a piss rev right outta the box. Gotta go chase down gas....then spend time mixing it.

I tell ya he is something else :)

I wouldn't accept a new car/truck from a dealer with a empty tank of gas...

I figured it was more about global warming.

And saving the environment one ported saw at a time. :)

Finally able to snag this 262xp, been working on it over a month now, this is just how I got it, needs a new top end, and it is dirty, but it is complete, should make a nice project for someone. And yes I know I said I was taking a couple weeks off from buying. Just this 1 saw.lol

Guy had a flywheel come apart when a chain threw on a new build . Busted up his crankcase, top cover, recoil etc.

Told him pick which whole saw or parts he needed.

So I ended up tearing down a runner I had for the parts needed for his rebuild.
I just used to cut up a ash for a friend and split the case awhile back to put new bearings seals etc in it.

Couple years a go I bought couple boxes of dead saws, among them was the better part of a 024, well I bought a meteor piston for it and started a list for other parts, handle, carb, muffler, then found the tank was broke. So I was in my ma and pa chainsaw store and got a carcass with all the parts I needed!! Got it all together runs great!! Nice when a project comes together and doenst break the bank.

I fired up the "Ugly Duckling" 066 I got last week, and did some stumping with it running 36" RSLH, and I got to tell you, I am impressed. With just a muff mod and the limiters pulled, and with an 8 tooth sprocket, you could dig those dogs in and lean on that saw a lot buried in Red Oak, and even in Chestnut Oak (the dead Chestnut was a bit tougher).

Did 4 stumps that exceeded the bar's reach, and 4 more that didn't, all in the afternoon.

I'm glad the afternoon went so well, cause in the morning I had to straighten out the handle, use an old 044 fuel cap as an 066 oil cap, mod the muffler, and then (unexpected) run the die over the bar stud.

My MMWS 460 assisted with the quartering duties, and everything fit in the Mustang!
