Friend spent 2 years with a ski doo and an intermittent fuel pump, machine would die and may or may not restart, dealer had a heck of a time finding it, cant fix what aint broke, many trips to them, 2yrs of poor sledding,, the dealer tried to charge for the fix,, friend never paid,, end of story.Currently working on an arctic cat 1000 prowler xt. Pump is only putting out 20 psi and it should be doing 45 psi. Gonna pull the pump and check it out. Only costs around $700 for a new one if I remember right.
Now I'm embarrassed for my saw after seeing yours lolBack together and running nicely. View attachment 48552
Found the problem today, pumps filter was rotted away so that tells me the pump is full of crap and so may the injector. Unit had water in the fuel, and may have been sitting as the pump has a ton of ethanol build up around it. Old fuel filter didn't look bad though. New pump is on the way.Friend spent 2 years with a ski doo and an intermittent fuel pump, machine would die and may or may not restart, dealer had a heck of a time finding it, cant fix what aint broke, many trips to them, 2yrs of poor sledding,, the dealer tried to charge for the fix,, friend never paid,, end of story.
Nice work tor I've built several dozens of saws but just now getting into porting. One of my first porting, 242, lifted the uppers and exhaust port back to stock, and trimmed the lower lip a tad.
