Thought I better take a pic while I had one of each model apart, left to right is 390, 372, 365, 357 and 346. The secret to Huskys great performance stock is exhibited here in the bottom fed quad trans, and skewed exhaust on each of these models.

What do you mean by skewed exhaust Alan?

It's kinda hard to explain, but I think if you look at a 390/372 jug you will see what I mean. The exhaust port exits the jug at a sideways angle, instead of straight out; this is why the flywheel side trans open a few degrees before the clutch side.

Alan, when you port them, do you continue to let the flywheel side trans open a few degree before the clutch side?

Yes, normally I do go along with what the factory engineers were thinking. Some R and D of my own is still in progress, however........

I just finished one of my first porting, 242, it also had the 2 deg TR difference, I went with the factory engineers thinking.
