Well it was @Definitive Dave to the rescue once again, have two coming, thank you Dave. And thank you @Mastermind for completely ruining my totally NON-original saw build with OEM parts. LOL Seriously though, thanks for saving me yet another headache. ;) Darn dirty ol' Stihl's.
If you remove the brass insert gently you may be able to save it and the internal spring for another rebuild with the spare line.
This kit is used on a lot of the "0" models.

Stihl makes an oil line kit. Follow the directions carefully. Get two of em...just in case.
Ya get two of them...put the spring in before you start heating up. And what Ted said swear a lot! Make sure and have first aid kit handy...right Ted?[emoji13]

Got this 046 from a helicopter company. It was very neglected with a fried top end. Got it back together with some new and used OEM parts.
Failed the pressure test, have a leak where the case halves and cylinder meet. New gasket didn't solve the problem. Nothing has been modded and I doubt the case has ever been split. What do you guys think?

If it was mine I would split the case and clean everything really well. Ultrasonic does wonders if you have one available. Then I would start fresh from the bottom up. Take a good look at the bearings while your there.

Have two ordered, I'll get a 5cent curse jar set up and see how much money I can make. Probably enough for another kit!

Finished up the 036/MS360 Bastard saw today, chain does not fit bar that I ordered so test cut will have to wait. Gonna giver heck when I do just to see if I can melt that funky oil line in there. Pretty much is salvaged Stihl parts from a destroyed logger saw, FarmerTec and some from HL Supply. Salvaged the cylinder with the Mastermind method, had just a little hitch by the exhaust port. Polished up the intake and exhaust ports and matched the muffler opening, otherwise is completely stock no mods. Everything fit quite well without issue. This was basically to see what AM parts can do when co-mingled with OEM.
