I'll not say anything other than CR500'S 7900 I ported a while back was my favorite saw here at the time.boat anchors needing ropes attached ?lol
Man I gotta use mine,, it might have 6 tanks thru it,,,,The more 7900 I port the more I like them.
I really like them.
How's it running?
I have one in a box I need to build one day. I need a fuel tank though.
That's the intake side and it looks gassed.MS660 had a bad day... I got a call from the tree service guy that he had a bunch of saws down. This was the only one that my magic screwdriver couldn't fix. I tried to start it multiple times. Comp tested it - 85psi... it came home with me. I found this and some light scoring on the exhaust. This saw was recently (month ago) tuned by me and was 4 stroking nicely and passed a pressure and vacuum test prior to the tune (another my saws won't run call...) I test cut with it and it did great. I dont know what caused these problems unless it was the cheap top end flying apart all by itself...View attachment 41352
Where did u purchase that buddy? ThanksHad a few bearings to remove on those 550's, figured out it was best to buy a cheap tool, 30$ tells me it's made in China, but it worked!

Looks like ring pin came loose maybe? Theres more visible than should be for sure? Maybe the pin gave up and caused the damge to cylinder and the ring rotated and lodged under the pin and couldnt rotate anymoreMS660 had a bad day... I think so too Mark. This was an AM piston? If so what brand? The ring pin is way off kilter in there. I was assuming it rattled itself loose and started the path to destruction...
