Picked up this Stihl 034 Super the other night from a dude off of Let.go.com.
He threw in a sack of sweet tators to sweeten the deal!
He said it ran good after installing cheap after marker rings, piston, and cylinder...then 2 yrs later it started loosing compression and quit.
I can't get the pull rope to budge at all...I'll tear into later this week.
Any thoughts from you "Saw Guru's?"

Make sure nothing is bound up around the sprocket...other than that...sounds like a frozen top end.

Just bought an 038 Mag fer cheap, the owner swore it needed a rebuild...got it home and all it needs is a starter assembly...

Brake band broken. Oil pump stuffed. Limiters removed open up the muffler.

Thanks, I might try just mixing up some paint next time. Trying to get powder to match is such a crapshoot.

That top end looks nice and clean ...OEM from the saw Brian ? ....I put a Meteor kit on mine and was Very! impressed.

Thanks Simon, Yes it a OEM one I just ran it through my blast cabinet when I was doing the cases.
