Got this 066 from a former coworker who lean seized it twice. Second time on the third cut with a brand new bar and chain and Chinese cylinder. I paid him for the bar and chain and got the saw for free.

This Chinese cylinder is about the biggest piece of chit I've ever seen.

Not yet. I just got it home. The previous owner didn't even own a wood stove. He was using it for trimming branches and to look cool I guess. He had no idea what he was doing when he rebuilt it.

I see a couple cylinders in the picture. I'm guessing one is the original oem and the other is the AM.
Can the oem cylinder be cleaned up and saved?

Guy came in this morning with ms250 and said he had a case of the tight rope. Found straight gas in tank. And After I showed him he said keep it. I have a extra engine laying around I'll put in it. Drop it in a jug of gas and forget for a month.

I bead blast them. Like new in 5 mins.

yup, it need something else then normal chemicals, I'll do that, saw was used on spruce trees and food oil as chain oil.

Orange degreaser, dissolves oil and pitch.

I was surprised it ran to do that much damage. I did throw all the plastic in the ultrasonic cleaner and it came out like new. Glad I have a extra engine from a crushed 250.

Gotta MS290 going, just the usual fuel related issues and serviced it. Also got a log splitter running that had water in the fuel....or should I say fuel in the water.....
