Most of the day went for this saw, 346 xpg ne - 07, who is heading to one who will keep it and port it :)

Got a better p&c compared to what it had, new caber ring, but my snap on valve is failing, I saw it dropped psi after I was done pulling. But then, I don't know what is normal psi on 346 NE....it has gasket
Good thing is that it has black coil now, its a starter, heathed elements is working, etc.

I got a few sprocket bearings from the greek, dunno what he is selling but they don't belong to 346, sloopy inner diameter, gotta test those I got for my 262's also before I shoot him one msg

Any good AM bearings out there who doesn't cost a fortune in shipping?

thanks Mike, it was an interesting day, I had got this 08 who had a nice p&c, trew it over on the 07, carbon scored jug is better for me since I probleby gone destroy it with my RA tool hehehe
The blue coil didnt spark well so I swapped for one unlimited one, fired up asap, wot 15.5k, cut carb limiters but it was lean even on 4 turn out, swapped carb and down to 13.5k :)

I think this 346 will heat up one american hands :D unfortantly I didnt have an Stihl cartoon :D:D only Husky :( hopefully I nail one OE carb floor before I ship ;)

I hope so, luckily there came one part saw on the road ;) so that fixed p&c issue :)

Seems it's gone be an interesting year here, they like to keep their 550, well most of them, but 346 is out nowadays, same count with the few 357/359 they get in.

I'm heading to them on tuesday, to pick up a batch parts, will lurk around lol

So I got the final of the 4 saws (for a local tree guy) running today. I fixed the carb by adjusting the float correctly (was not off by much), and it did have a clean screen in it, could not see it in the indoor light!

New piston, cleaned up cylinder and all new rubber and I was very pleased how it ran. Unlike his other 660, which seemed very anemic to me, this one really pulled and did not want to slow down when you leaned on it.

I think he'll be real happy with it. And, when I called to tell him the saw was ready, he asked if I could look at a saw for someone else he knows. I asked what saw, and he said either a 440 or 460, so I replied Yes, no problem!

Frustrations (learning curve) with the 660 (you experienced guys will get a good laugh):

- The linkage disconnects at the carb, not at the trigger, like on a 440/460. If you take the convoluted handle apart, it is tough to get it all back together, and when you finally get it, you realize you should have done it after installing the control lever --- start over!

- The gasket on a 461 fits over the piston, I checked before installing the piston, so I did not bother checking the 660. Piston on, piston off, gasket on, piston on!!!

- I know you install the top cover before you install the plug ... but the wrench for the decomp will not fit through the top cover. So, I pulled it and installed the decomp, then the cover, then realized there is a grommet that also must go in from the underside ... GRRRRRRR!

As you can see, it was a long day, but at least it ended well! And I learned, and I learned ....

Got an Ebay saw in mail. A Husqvarna 371 needs crank seals. Disassembled for cleaning and inventory of small parts that are missing/ damaged. It should be a good saw in week or 2.
