They usually have a non adjustable high jet , I've seen a bad carb smoke a 395xp. I did have some milling time on it also.

prob thinking of 3120, 395 never had a fixed hi jet

I had a 68 442... The day I sold it i seen 3 on the highway heading home. Like gut punches with everyone that passed.

I'm building a destroked 400... Dart SHP block, callies rods and crank, CP pistons, Dart Aluminum pro series heads... etc... should be good for 650-700hp

I built a few myself... same with th400s. One can build a th350 to hold power. I used to machine the clutch drums for extra steel plates and friction pads then set the clearance a little tighter, modify the valve bodies, sprag, etc etc...

No isn’t my buddies mustang is fast as hell, twin turbo coyote putting 760 hp out at the rear wheels actually hard to get it to hook up on a drag run even on street slicks.

I used a heat gun, a rubber mallet and China made bearing puller... without issue.

The smaller piston did not fire, it was for balance and controlling the intake timing/airflow.

yes husqvarna makes a crank splitter for the 550 parts 575286901 and i would reccommand you buying the crankshaft tool too parts 502503023

I have not used that before, are you looking to try to plug the oil leak with that?

Get yourself a Husqvarna case splitting tool…better yet, just go buy a new short block and be done with it
