What's leaning up in the corner next to the fishing rod?
I just realized what you were really talking about. Sorry. It is the handle to a fishing net. Could be used for lots of things but its last use was for BIG goldfish. image.jpg
I totally forgot about that fishing rod!

Full disclosure, this was a year ago. Replacing the valve cover gasket on Dads Jeep. Almost 300,000 miles, the last 40,000 running on Shell Rotella T4 15W-40. No cleaning, this is exactly how everything was when I pulled the valve cover.

i need to change them on my truck too. i already have the gaskets i just hate laying across the top of my truck to work on it.
I am not looking forward to getting into mine, same thing, sore back and legs from leaning into the truck...and some of the bolts are hard to get to. I think I have a rocker that has come loose :(

Yeah, I have had mine for about a year now. I will have to wait for the snow to melt before I think about getting into it.

had to pull the motor on the treadmill.
belt kept coming off
found a broken bolt that cant bee seen
was on mounting bracket so engine got pulled a little sideways when loaded up
then popped off the belt
took a bit to get the old bolt piece out as it goes into the motor
special short bolt, took some smithing to reproduce one
this fat bastard is happy now

Lombard is off the bench.

It is not 100% original (perforated strap for the tank mounts) but is it all together and runs on prime. I didn't attack the nasty fuel tank or disassemble the float style carburetor.

Was cruising the streets of ebay one night and came across a wrap handle for an 041 that was actually complete and not bent to fuk or missing the mounts. I bought it purely for the coolness factor and that these handles are semi rare to find in decent shape
