I can attest to that! Done a Lot of back and forth business with @Wilhelm and it’s always correct, and packed better than anything I’ve ever seen. I’ve even had the pleasure of visiting him in Croatia.
Yeah, I crashed my car twice in that period - once into a ditch and once into a deer!
Fanks 4 that. 🤣 😋

Twas a good time spent! :beer-toast1:😎

Spent some time in the workshop over the weekend due to the weather. Rebuilt this relatively uncommon Husky with a new OEM Piston and cylinder kit - had been straight gassed.

And refreshed this well used 461 with a number of new bits, including crank seals, some new AV mounts, intake boot, recoil cover, sprocket cover etc.

That’s the homeowner, with his daddy’s small Homelite. Told me his dad cut up many trees this size with it. Hmmmm…..
Anyway it all worked out ok. No drips, runs or errors . I’m worn out. Chainsaws are only fun for about 15 min, then it becomes work.
When I opened the saw up (090) to clean it I found that all 6 of the clutch shoes were missing their friction material. The clutch drum doesn’t appear to be damaged, no evidence of excess heat or oil. The saw cut like a demon (slow demon) and the clutch didn’t slip at all that i could tell.
Not sure what to think. I have a new clutch I was saving for a time like this but I’m not sure it’s required.

Big Redmax EBZ8500 blower from my lawn care buddy. He has a handful of these and since doing repairs on them, I would recommend them. They use same torx for all fasteners like Stihl and are super simple to work on. Parts are cheap too.

This one still ran and had good power. He was just complaining about it being hard to start...he got lucky, I think the cylinder is fine. I will know tonight though after further dissasembly.

I know right - Looks like a horror movie in that exh port...he runs Red Armor exclusively. Now wait just a min before y'all call me a liar.....It's not nearly as bad in person AND This is the blower that one of his workers busted the filter cover on (who knows how long ago), then installed it totally wrong and upside down....this is what I found in it a couple weeks ago when rebuilding the carb. (page 1,745, post #34,889)

I think the stalagmites we see are DIRT. There is red oil smeared on the piston and I expect it to be nice and wet in the crankcase when I pull it apart tonight.

The Red Armor is likely the reason this thing is still running good and not completely fried top to bottom. The Red Armor syrup in the intake tube is likely some kind of spitback problem from the janked piston.

Low hour 362 that a guy brought me. My guess is it has been sitting under a work bench for quite some time..

Piston ate some of the ring end and possibly part of the locating pin. I’m thinking if it were mine a new p/c, flush the bottom end, couple minor tweaks and run it. See what he wants to do…

Currently working on a Husky 2100CD as I can get parts. Recently replaced the handle/fuel tank, added a clutch cover, carb intake manifold, fuel line and throttle linkage. I have a top cover en-route, probably will go with a Stihl 090 muffler and v-stack with sponge filter on the intake. I think the last big thing to get will be the front wrap handle.

Also working on a smaller brother, the 272xpg, when I found it at the dump, it was extremely muddy and leaking B/C oil from the seam, so I figured I would use this at my first attempt to split a case and rebuild it.

Both of these saws have been fun to work on!!

Working on a 365 Special. It’s on the bench for a tune-up and turn up. At first I thought it had an AM carb, but someone just swapped an AM top cover on the carb. I’m sorry if you are in the camp that think Tygon is good fuel line, but I think it sucks. This stuff is hard as rock, and the fuel filter in the tank can’t move at all….it’s amazing the saw didn’t lean out and torch the top end.496F6559-333F-4C98-87D6-5FB37C97CCEC.jpegF74520B5-F343-45E0-9709-8614E033C3C8.jpeg98857B15-9CCE-48C2-BFE4-1D5D408510DC.jpegE3EC6BD1-8D7F-4701-8D27-FFA1845E970C.jpeg3976573B-107A-444B-BDBD-59DA504001FD.jpeg
