My question is why would anyone put an AM X-Torq cylinder on a saw when there are always OEM cylinders on EBay cheap where guys have taken them off and replaced with XPW cylinders?

The oem cylinder cleaned up fine. He sent it along just for me to look at. Got to go check the piston out and see if he's going to have to buy one of those for the oem cylinder.

Pretty sure Definitive Dave has a meteor piston kit on the bay for a good price.

Meteor pistons are one of the few AM parts I consider BETTER than OEM.

Joe
I've ordered one for my 254 + one oem piston, hope to get them both this week. If they are as good as people say and there is no real difference from Meteor to oem I will probleby just buy Meteor to all my 254/262 projects.

Tonight I broke into some new territory. After reading about opening the venturi on these carbs I knew I have two saws on my bench that could benefit. This one is the 2100 Im building.

At the moment I am working on a 390XP, T540XP and a 350.
066 is up next

Those are customer saws. Some day I'd really like to build my 288 that is sitting in a box.

This whole job thing is really breaking into my saw building time.

Sound like me Ross. I got the 2165 together and haven't fired it up and made one cut yet. I had a running 365 until I robbed the tank for it.
