Three more done, cutting the squish has been kicking my a$$ for awhile now but I think I finally got it. I've messed up a few cylinders trying to learn this and it all came down to how I angled my cutter.
New OEM bearings and seals in this ugly 660 build. Bought new Caber rings for it and was going to put the top end together until I took a careful look at the cylinder and saw this a tiny chip in the plating near the exhaust port. So it's gonna get some unplanned port work to correct that.
At least this 034 is just about done. Needs a few more pieces but I did snag a picture of it outside all cleaned up.
1984 Husqvarna 266se developed a massive air leak so I shut it off
And was going to put new seals in today it's still on it's original seals
Apparently when I put a 20" bar on it instead of a 24" that's been on it for at least three years
It vibrated more for some reason and the carb bolt's came loose
The recoil was loose also
Easy fix.
Put a hyway popup in a 272 I like those pistons I have a few years on them no issues.
I started to clean the p100 super looked at the piston, it looks good, someone worked hard on the damper / two-tube ;-) plus a third hole next to the finger that knocked out the inorganic spur
Got the bearings into the cases. Made the choice of reusing the OEM pto side. Flywheel side got a new OEM SKF 6201 C3 only like 3 bucks from Husqvarna for my dealer so it was a no brainer.
Wild Thing 2375. Figured I'd add one of these iconic el cheapo homeowner saws to the collection. Scored off of FB marketplace last week for $20. Gave it a quick once over and it didn't need much. Cleaned and kitted the carb, new fuel lines, fuel filter and plug. Also dressed up the bar and put on a much better chain from a roached parts P4018WT Wild Thing. This one is the earlier 42cc non strato version. Tomorrow evening I'll see how she eats.
My ATV was in a flood last year,,,well I was plowing sno and it overheated.
Didnt take much water to ruin this 600 dollar fan moter.
Got a 200 aftermarket one coming, not a nice job to do.
One bearing is bad,, will maybe see if i can get one.
Motor is pressed together.
But came apart fairly easily.
Even after a year flood stuff keeps showing up.
First up on my bench was my bench top. After several months of procrastination I got around to fabbing up a tin top for it and re-assembling it. Once that was done I had to move all my shi..... important stuff over to the new bench and get it set up. I finished off the evening by rehanging the axe and sharpening the axe and saw for some felling work today.
Got my 590/MS460 put back together and the 372 carb working, I just need to pick up a couple of lock nuts for the choke and make a couple of threaded blocks for the filter cover to bolt down to.
Checking out the 621. Looks like it might run but the front handle is bent. Should be ok for a little bit of cutting.
Pm me if anyone is interested in this saw.
