Technically only the bar hit my bench, but I swapped a 36" D025 bar on my 390 and drilled out the tensioner holes to fit the larger pin.

Been running parts through the ultrasonic today. Ran the piston and cylinder for my 034 through it. Cleaned up the scuff on the piston with some 800 grit paper. I'll get some new caber rings for it.

Someone dropped off another today (MS251?) and another guy threatened to bring one in next week. I guess I'll have to leave the parts organization for a week or two and gets some saws repaired.

I think it ought to be ok, there was no cylinder transfer and I couldn't catch a fingernail on any of that ugliness. It came off with almost no effort. I checked several spots around the piston with the micrometer and couldn't find any measurable difference in piston diameter.

Can someone please explain to me why so many Stihl tanks have peyronie's disease? The bend in the tank makes the gap from the filter to the top cover crooked and it looks like the saw got run over. I've seen this on lots of 026s and several 036s and now this 034 I've got.

I wouldn't doubt the AVs are junk but I'm betting the half wrap is tweaked too. Not sure why that didn't occur to me before.

Got the crank swap done on this 261cV3, runs like a top. Just have see why the grip heating is not working. Didnt work when the customer came in with it.

New 462. Haven’t been in a saw in over a year. Feel like a fish out of water.

Pretty interesting how that changed the inside of it. The crankcase stuffer now on the exhaust side and the piston seems more sturdy without the cutout on the intake skirt.

This will be a high altitude saw. Buddy heats with an OWB and his front door in CO is at 10,100 ASL

without surgical pliers, I would not do this fuel line / the oil line is blocked on the other side to start the saw

i think the pto side is nla, fly side is a common bearing i think
