That filter on the 10mm 044 looks like a "winter filter" with very course screen.

That said, if a 10mm 044 ran till now w/o blowing up, someone got their money's worth out of it!

Mine still runs good, but does not owe me anything!

Gave my brother a hand putting a 4.2 1HD-FTE in one of his LandCruisers. Him and his wife do a lot of travelling around Australia.
Bloody Toyota's holding there value he paid 12k for the engine.

The old turbo 4.2 1HZ out of it still a good motor he'll get 4k for it.

Are the 026 pros and ms 260 pretty much same saw just plastic a bit different?
Same cylinders?
Port timing?

All the MS saws except for the 660 went to flippy caps. Right around then they started having a little bit more bubble look to the plastics. Early 260s had the same smaller 026 bore, but soon after they went to larger cylinder to get over 50cc to get around EPA regulations

Husqvarna 224L straight shaft 4 stroke trimmer. Based off a Honda GX25. New carb, fuel lines, fuel filter, plug and oil changed a couple times to get the contaminated oil out of the crankcase (was diluted with fuel from the faulty carb)

How many miles/kilometers did he get out of the old motor that was replaced?
The old engine has 480k (kilometres) on it doesn't burn any oil plenty of life left in it.
Down here we change oil at 5k. Nobody sends oil off for oil analysis don't even know if that con exists down here. just change the oil it's not hard 15-20k miles between oil changes yeah no thanks lol
