The old engine has 480k (kilometres) on it doesn't burn any oil plenty of life left in it.
Down here we change oil at 5k. Nobody sends oil off for oil analysis don't even know if that con exists down here. just change the oil it's not hard 15-20k miles between oil changes yeah no thanks lol
Having played with one myself, that blue bodied intercooled 1KZ is the interesting one.

Mine was a Surf. POS never did like hard work, got hot at the thought of it. I learnt a lot about diesel turbo tech off it tho.

Husqvarna 224L straight shaft 4 stroke trimmer. Based off a Honda GX25. New carb, fuel lines, fuel filter, plug and oil changed a couple times to get the contaminated oil out of the crankcase (was diluted with fuel from the faulty carb)

I’ve had one of these for a little over a year now. I really like it. The thing sounds like a mini motocross bike or something. Really fast throttle response.

I'm really going to miss two cycles when they are totally gone.

Two different engines. Both have been thoroughly abused and neglected commercial use. Both had catastrophic failures. Both were still running and performing with the failures. One was brought in for a funny noise. The other because it wasn't idling smooth..........

Don't think I've ever seen a four cycle fail this miserably and still run. Let alone run well.

The broken piston skirt is due to metal fatigue. Motor had close to 1500 hr at 5500-6k rpm.

The broken crank was from a impact at speed.

That is some impressive damage right there.

I had a snowmobile that the rod bearing went and literally split the cylinder in half, the engine never quit running. Two cycles are great!

When I blew the 1st engine in the Mustang (had 120,000 miles, most of it with the SC), there was a hole in the block big enough that a piton pin came rolling out!

I was still able to start it up and drive it over to the flat bed when it arrived!

It did surprise me that I was able to do that! I think the synthetic oils helped with that.

Had my 395 on the bench to port the cylinder. When I brought it home in the back of my wife's van it marked its territory. I thought the amount of oil it leaked was excessive. After it was on the bench and had the handle and other stuff removed it left quite the puddle. I decided I should split the case and find out what the heck was going on. Glad I did. Found the oil tube that goes from the pump to the bar pad had seen better days. Someone was in there and really messed it up. Was almost pinched closed. Found out this part isn't orderable from Husky. Good to have hoarder friends though! Called @Glock37 and he had a busted case and pulled the pipe out of it. Got it in last night with some JB Weld and got the case back together today. Now back to the cylinder!

Make sure the white vent tube is pointed up at the muffler above the oil cap, not pointed down at the bottom of the oil tank or it will leak thru the vent when the saw sits.
