For the guys that don't visit the grease monkey thread.

Next I'm bringing back mullets :headbang:

Just a test run to see if it works on the truck before the real bodywork happens. Didn't turn out bad for being a ten year old pint of paint. Total out of pocket was $0

Finally finished this 394, new case half, bearings, gaskets, seals, brake handle, Meteor piston, Caber rings, trigger lock, fuel line, filter, etc. Just my typical rebuild. If you order this carb rebuild kit, ask if it has a diaphragm in it. One I purchased did not, found that strange to be a rebuild kit. Just added a week to rebuild .image000002(6).jpg image000001(8).jpg image000000(7).jpg

We had a flood in Nov. Still finding damage.
My Lincoln sp175 got wet,, I didnt think it did.
Finally had time to try it. Well it turned on, had a arc.
But no wire feed. Removed liner,, fubar,, and still no feed.
Removed the drive unit and disassembled it, lil water in gear case, no damage.
12v dc motor had got a lil water inside, that left a lil bit of rust between armature and magnets.
It all cleaned up well. Now to get a new liner. Drive assy was a bit of a pain to remove.

On my bench right now is a friend's Husqvarna 435. I haven't taken any pics of it but when I opened it up I found a bunch of muddy water in the crankcase, sure don't know how it got there. I checked the fuel and oil tanks and they both look clean, must have come in through the muffler..

No elasto start ,no button? Your a braver man than I.
Better?

I have to retard the timing on this thing before even attempting to start it. It’s definitely feeling like one of the worst I’ve done for starting, and that’s with the elastostart.
