What I see is the insulator let go and slid up against the outer electrode. The inner electrode may still be inside that insulator.
If it did break as I’ve described, the plug would short internally.

Did I put that in there?
No. This was in the Jonny I ported.
I don't recall it cutting out last time using it but I took it to the woods a while back and it wouldn't fire. So I decided to have a look today and started w/ the plug.

Interesting. How would I confirm? Bend the electrode and see if the insulator slides off?

Take a measurement before you do from the base of the threads to the bottom of the hook. That way when the ceramic slides out, you can measure and subtract from the other measurement. If close to .025" you didn't lose anything.

We got lucky on this one. Piston was still minty. Just a thick layer of carbon on top. I actually had to scrape the carbon of and buff it up before I could get a squish measurement.
It'll be tuned by me so it will be dripping url and spooge out the deflector. Lol

Ok. Was just wondering about the timeline. I change plugs for customers if their plug looks old and didn’t know if I did yours or not. Looks like it has some runtime on it

I've been using the Denso's for a bunch of years now. Hope this is just a one time fail. Saw is a Jonsered 2150 (with original cylinder) that I ground on with the help of T4. Nothing special, compression isn't ignorant and I don't run it a lot. Tune was a bit fat cause I was letting dad run it.

New design of sorts, test knife mostly so it isn’t perfect. Bushcraft intentions with this one. Sent it of for professional heat treatment, came out at 60-61 Rockwell hardness. We’ll see how she holds up.

Beautiful as always Marshall! Question for ya. What does 60-61 Rockwell...? Hum....ok if u had a scale or list what would be on either side of 60-61? I think that makes sense. Also if that makes it super hard does it make it more brittle in one direction or another?
What wood is used on those handles?
