Pics are getting better Joe!

I'm capable of better... but I was keeping a safe distance from the drunks partying next door lol. Didn't have time to get dragged into that chit yesterday.

What's the Novus stuff you had ole mate Joe rubadubdubbing on the plastiques Dan? Novus here is a car windscreen company is all.

Stuff works fantastic. My 262xp didn't look much better than yours when I started. I've tried out polishes and compounds and they work, but not as quickly as the Novus stuff. It brought a lot of the color back too.

If buying just go for the #2 red bottle. That's my most uses one. The #3 is good for heavy scratches. The #1 is like water. Takes the oxidation off the painted metal and brings the color back too.

Meh, I use a solution of white vinegar in my ultra tank. Rinse and immediate spray with silicon or lps.

Brother Lee. You show up here and there will be a South Paw bench waiting.

Thanks for the measurements, those will be helpful and save time! Up at the cabin I have a bunch of rough cut fir 2 X 8 (mostly 4'-6') that I plan to use to build one or two of these. The wood is reclaimed from concrete footing forms.

I may increase the heights a bit for me (My benches are all 18") and lower it an inch for the Grandkids.

Printed the plan and put it in the truck!

Water to air........

Something let loose on the air compressor and coated my 300ft of air line with atf. A quick blast of degreaser into the drain oil bucket and flush with the garden hose for a bit. Should be all good.

Now onto the compressor next. Hoping it's simple. Sepperator element maybe.

On my bench now is hopefully my last 017 of the year. Bought this one at a flea market, needs at least a new carburetor and wrap handle although I'm trying to epoxy the handle and see if I can get it to work. Don't know what else it needs other than a good cleaning.

So..... Do any of you fine gents have experience working on diesel air compressors?

What I have is either a ingersoll rand 175 or 150 with a 3cyl dutze air cooled diesel. The air line is getting coated in atf from the compressor. I was going to replace the seperator element and see if that was all the issue was. Problem is that element is $300 and they don't stock it. That leads me to my question of whether or not I can clean and dry my current one and give it a try, before plunking down the funds on a new one. Think it's worthwhile to try or should I just bite the bullet?

Don't have the element out yet. Need a bigger wrench to get the discharge line off the cap first.

Got the output line off.

When was the last time you saw a chain wrench being used? :risas3:

Only pic I took of the seperator.

But I think I found the problem. :(

The cap on the bottom of the filter isn't sealing. Guess I'm going to be spending some coin now.

Filter cross-reference dot com or some such surely. $300 is some coin no matter whose land you live in.

I was able to search one out for $116. Shipped. More than I was wanting to spend, but cheap insurance long term. And far less than napa or the nearest heavy shop.

Only two reputable companies make the element that I am aware of. Bunch of copy cat junk though. 100+psi and at 175cfm. Tons of heat and extremes I won't chance it.

Went to see @KennyWinCT today. Picked up a free Lawn Boy from him. It's a 1995 Silver Series 4.5 hp 21". It had been sitting for at least 10 years. Got it home, put it back together, tightened up the engine mount bolts, replaced the fuel line, dumped some fresh mix in the tank, primed it, and it ran on the first pull. Runs excellent. I'm waiting for a new primer bulb which will be here Tuesday. I'm using a Tecumseh one for the meantime.

My neighbor when I was younger was a professional landscaper. All he used were these 2 stroke Lawnboys. They never seemed to break down. Gave a great cut. Only downside was a small cut. He used bags on all of them.
Good deal Will

Thanks Jeff. I have it setup for mulching at the moment but it came with a bag too. I'm using it for where my zero turn won't fit.
