Thank you. Where is all your hook? Lol
Hand filing FTW!
Those are all pre-grinding, fyi. I'll get some post-grinding tonight, right after I tack up some chicken wire
I have no qualms about hand-filing them but when I'm faced with 9 rocked 36 inch chains, I'll use my grinder.

Anyone try making a knife out of a old wore out/broken tsumura or sugi bar? The steel they used seems like it would be fantastic for it. Stringy, resilient and tough.
Good thought here. It would have to be a TSU RW.
Much more common approach are broken pieces of leaf springs.

I'd really enjoy and be overly interested if you started a thread on this.
I've got a link to a fella from across the pond who makes an excellent competition chopper. I've yet to reach out to him and order one up.

I like it so much I could care less what shipping would cost.

Go ahead and start a thread,I'm sure most everyone will keep it going. Those competition choppers can get pricey. I've thought about going in that direction, but I enjoy making EDC and camp knives.

Got my generator fired up in preparation for Elsa. Rolled it out, checked the oil, turned the fuel on, turned the switch on, choked it, and it fired up first pull. Let it run for 10 minutes and it ran fine. Good to go if we lose power. It's already full of stabilized 93. Noticed that the breather hose from the valve cover to the air box was cracked so I looked up and ordered one. Ended up being nla from Homelite but one from a GX390 will work, the engine is a Chonda (Chinese Honda clone).

I have never ridiculed anyone for their cutters. If anything I've tried to help. If that makes me a bad guy then so be it.
If he doesn't want to post a photo of the ground sharpened cutter, no worries. Life is good.

We had some pretty good storms roll through southern ontario today. Had my generator out and ready just incase. Always do that so power wont go out lol.

How did you make out with the storms?
