It should be close, the dyno is a b word! I haven’t put mine on the dyno yet with the new combo. Was hoping for 500 wheel, but I know that’s hard. I am happy with the way it drives now, that’s all that matters! Lol! Due up for rear tires! I would definitely be worried about the 7.5, I have the strang s60 and love it the worm gear posi I’d super nice! Your going to need some really good tires! I definitely did!
I’ll get it on a dyno at some point. Might be next year after I get the bugs worked out.
I’m thinking as long as I keep street radials on it and I don’t get to stupid with the go button the diff should last for a little while.
I’m thinking I’ll end up putting a 8.8 or 9” in it next winter along with all new adjustable rear suspension.

With cheap street radials it will spin and be fine. Once you hook you need good stuff! When I talked with strange, they said there best street posi came in the Dana 60, there s60 is rated for 600 hp on a prepared surface in a 4500lb car! the best 9” 35 spline combo was only good for 450hp. I originally wanted to do a full floating 9”, they talked me out of it, and it was cheaper in the end, the 9”’gets expensive when you go 35 spline, and aftermarket housing. The s60 comes standard with 35 spline and has a bigger ring gear! The S 60 also has adjusters for the side load, so you don’t have to use a spreader to get the ring gear out, and a drain plug so you don’t Have to pull the diff cover to change the oil

I've always been quite fond of the Dana series. One couldn't ask for a better streetable axle.

Yea, I've called the Mustang my "poor man's Ferrari" for years! The Whipple twin screw SC made it easy to get about 550 Hp, and Ford Performance did the tune so it is factory smooth and 50 St emission legal! Also have Magnaflow Cats and JBA mufflers. Engine also has Eagle crank, rods and pistons so it went from 4.6 to 4.9 liter (stroked).

Steeda Suspension in conjunction with Griggs Racing Torque Arm and Adjustable Lower Control Arms.

It handles like it is on rails, but is not smooth like the new ones with IRS! I've not had any problems with the 8.8 rear or the 5 speed tranny, as the tires just get blown out.

I actually just got a new set of Nitto 555 G-2s to try out, but they are not yet mounted. 275 x 40 x 18 is the largest I can fit up front, and I'm going to see if I can fit 295 X 45 X 18s on the back. The current rear 555s are 285 X 40 X 18, they blow out too easy, and my speed does not match the speedometer.

I'm hoping the bigger tire clears and improves traction a bit.

You need better tires, 320 tread wear suck, nto1 or toyo r888r, 320 tw tires just don’t have the grip at that power level

Got the 20 hp Courage to run, fresh fuel, new fuel filter, cleaned the carb and power washed the engine with some Gunk. Runs decent. Still need to get a new battery and lugs and then I can see how it drives and cuts before a service.

Life is a balance! I drive this car all the time, and go to my Tax Appointments in it, so performance in the rain is every bit as important as performance in the dry. If I'm running late, I make time, no matter what the weather.

The 555 G2s have excellent wet weather ratings, and very good dry weather ratings. I'll give them a try.

And yes, you have to know how to control your right foot or you will end up in the bushes!

I was also considering the NT-05s (200 treadwear rating - and look like race car tires). They work very good on the front, but the sidewalls are so stiff it is just too easy to blow them out on the back. The 555s provided just as good traction on the rear, and better tread life. The 555 G2s are supposed to be an improvement over the original 555s. Hopefully, the larger size will fit and will also help (fitment will be close). I am scheduled to get them mounted today.

I'm also not going to put race car tires on it and have to replace them every 6 months to a year. In the winter I run high performance Blizzak tires. They even grip better on dry road when the temps are under 40*.

Well, I got lucky! No one could tell me if these rear tires would fit on my year Mustang (especially with AM suspension and wheels - both Steeda), but they fit and did not rub on our test drive!

I upgraded the size of the rear tires from 285 X 40 X 18 to 295 X 45 X 18. They are a tight fit, but they fit and don't rub! It feels like they are hooking better with the larger footprint and taller sidewall, but they are still new so we will see how they do.

Cornering also felt good, which was a concern. The front tires are the same size (275 X 40 X 18), but I went from NT-05s to 555 G-2s. So far, I'm pleased with them.

As a bonus, they have higher treadwear ratings and better wet traction ratings than the tires I replaced.

Popped a new battery in the Cub last night and was able to clean up the battery cable ends just fine with a Scotch Brite pad and brake cleaner. New hardware too. Set the tire pressure and took it for a test mow. Needs a spindle and deck belt along with an engine service. Other than that it did good.

I was stopping by a buddy's to pick up a 365 recoil and he told me he had some "Mac stuff" too. $75 later I came home with all this, a west coast 660 cover, and a 660 maxflow filter. Now I just need to get a clutch cover for the SP60 and get them running.

BG85 all done. New OEM carb, fuel line, and tune up kit (plug, air filter and fuel filter). Blew the driveway off with it and it ran great. Didn't even have to tweak the carb.

Got started on a BG55 that was given to me. Evaluated it and it doesn't need much. Just needs a carb, recoil rope, and I'll toss in a new plug for peace of mind. I'll order up the carb this evening.

I've got a Sandvik .404 x 11 tooth bar tip sprocket on my bench, and an Oregon 3 rivet bar with a blown tip sprocket. The plan is to precisely, accurately, shoehorn the Sandvik tip into the Oregon nose, since I need the bar for my mill and new tips are long, long, nla.

I'd love to see pics of that when you're done.
