I know, but I'm a sissy. And a scaredy-cat. I live in a perpetually "rattled" state so I try to avoid any unnecessary "rattling".

I don't use anything other than a socket wrench on a crank 'cause I busted one with an impact and now I'm skeered to use anything battery or air powered on a crankshaft.

Drill, not impact. Drill good. Impact, not so much.

Friend brought over a bg50 he got from an auction for $25. Said it ran fine but wouldnt run out......culprit? LMAO!!!
Needless to say piston is perfect. Carb cleaner, brass brush, air compressor and about 20 minutes of BSn with a new tune and she purrs like a kitten now

Hosed off the Husqvarna rider, it's getting delivered tomorrow evening after work.

Did the carb on the Troy Bilt push mower along with a once over check which included topping up the oil, check the plug, clean the air filter, add a fuel filter and touch up the blade. Just need to glue the sticker back on the top cover. Her Murray trimmer is on deck for tomorrow along with the Murray push mower I picked up Tuesday evening.

Had the Echo CS-660EVL picked up along with the Coleman Powermate 5000 he bought from me. He also dropped off a small Echo top handle for service, new bar, spare chains etc.

Gotta say I'm pretty good at this small engine repair racket!

My wife brought home a Stihl ms211 from the landfill. The tank handle and operators handle are broken. Saw is in good shape otherwise. After pricing out replacement parts I can see why it was discarded. Looks like I need a cheap donor 171,181, 211. ....until then it goes in a box on the shelf

This 1998 371xp came with a load of saws I bought. It's in amazing condition. I tore it down to bring it back to all new OEM and the piston and cylinder are like new, plastic parts too. Must have been a very occasional use saw. It's on my bench now!!

You Coasties and your “big bars”...

Yer just jealous of my big bar. A porter up in Oregon has this quote from ryansmilling in his sig, "I love these West coast guys. If you ain't running 32" bars on a 70cc saw with big-ass dogs, you don't know anything." He forgot "full wrap" and "v-stacked", but it pretty much sums it up. My brother got a 281 with a 42 inch bar mounted up on it, that was overkill in my mind. I'm not averse to a 36 on a 181, though.

This is on my bench right now, waiting on an oil seal. I’m building this one for me. Just last month fixed up one for a friend and liked it a bunch. Except this one doesn’t have points. Wish it did.
