A fellow brought this in on Friday, said it just sputtered and quit. I was able to get it to start on a prime but it doesn't seem to pull fuel on its own. I disassembled the carburetor and nothing seemed too bad. Fuel line is attached and the fuel filter looks to be good. Compression is only 60 PSI, I did check the valve clearances and they are O.K.

I am open to suggestions including telling him to get a new one.

4 mix wants 75psi to run right.
I have 3 or 4 around here that came to me not running right with 50 to 60 psi.
Carb kit , a set of rings and clean the valves/carbon. Look at the plastic cam and adjust.
They now have 75 to 80 psi and run good, if a 4 mix can be classed as good running.

I'm pretty sure this is the wrong place to post this but, I wasn't sure where I should post it to get an answer.

I've been a member for several years and have sold items in the parts section of ope forum without any issues that I am aware of.

I was hoping to list a couple 281xo cylinder and piston sets and realized I don't have the ability to do so, is this because of something I have done wrong or is this based on customer feed back (I don't have any feed back from past customers).

I have sold to what I believe to be several long standing members over the years and some as recent as the last few months. I've never had any complaints or anyone accuse me of wrong doing.

I'm hoping this is do to my inactivity or my lack of contribution to the forum vs something I have done that I'm not aware of.

Thank you for your time.

There were several transactions with new and/or unknown member that had gone south. A rule was implemented that you need to have at least 100 posts before being allowed to post a for sale ad in the classified sections.
You will either need to reach 100 posts or get another member in good standing to vouch for you to the head monkey in charge then it’s his choice if he wants to allow it or not.

They started a new rule here to try to protect the members from buying from one-post-sellers who don’t end up shipping after payment is made.

Start a pm with your past buyers and a couple mods and see if they’ll vouch for you

Thank you for explaining that. I'm not sure how many posts I have, I'm also not sure if you mean previous sales posts or any type of post, I'm assuming any type of post.

I've spent more time answering questions and taking part in discussions on other post vs starting my own.

The information is appreciated and if someone recognizes me and wants to vouche for me that's awesome, if not, that's ok too.

My name is Tommy Leblanc and I have been selling mostly on bookface for the past couple years.

Again, thanks for the information and your time.

I know your name from the fb groups. I’d have no problem buying from you myself.

My mini mac is finally complete. It was missing on/off switch and the wire part for the oil pump. Had to take this whole pile of stuff to get my switch lol. I think ther is another complete mini mac in ther too so that will be another project.

CS660-EVL ready for a test drive. New 20" Oregon Powercut bar and EXL chain. Fired up pretty easy, had to richen up the slow speed needle a tad and then bump up the idle speed. High speed adjustment seems good but will check it in the wood. Tossed in a new plug and fuel filter too. Air filter got blown out. Guy steam cleaned it before bringing it to me.

Most interesting 026. This one is the oldest one I’ve had the pleasure of working on. Date code “O” cast into the engine case. That makes it an 89’. In fact, every single casting big enough to carry the mfg date code on this saw has an “O” on it. All the covers, the recoil and the tank have managed to stay with this saw since then. I think that’s really cool. Also, the plastic film covering the badges is still there. Some bonehead straight gassed this one. I was able to save the cyl, replaced the piston. I’ll run it later this morn.
Notice the early knobs for gas/oil and the top cover is missing the mount near the air exit for the winter kit.

Sorry I came up empty handled on your switch. On the positive side you have a nice pile of magnesium firewood there.
