Another successful repair. New main jet assembly, carb cleaned, tank drained cleaned and flushed. Added an inline fuel filter.

I partially re-assembled a 350 last night, I'll p/v test it tomorrow and see if I fixed the air leak between the spacer and the case, if so hopefully it, a 2100, and two weedeaters will leave my shop this weekend!

Just a note to anyone who installs a new slant fin 440 cylinder without a gasket. That bastard impulse hole actually goes through to the front outside of the cylinder for whatever reason. Spent 3 hours chasing a massive air leak everywhere but there. Couldn’t hear it, see it, or spray soapy water on it with the tank installed.

All I could think was “wth”.

I had just put new seals in. Couldn’t get the needle to even move. I pulled the tank off figuring there was a hole in the bottom of the case. That’s when I saw it.

Still have no idea why it’s there. Every 1128 has the impulse in the case

It's for a European feature in cold weather - an automatic choke. I've never understood why they continued to cast parts with that hole.

Guy with the Echo texted me back and said go ahead with the service and new bar and chains. They'll be here by the end of next week. Finished up the WorkZone pressure washer and it ran great. Pressure washed part of the side of the garage (vinyl siding) and it performed well with the turbo nozzle. I'm returning both his machines tomorrow midday to him.

Played around with figuring out the video editor on my new laptop. I'm currently uploading a video to Youtube now and I'll post it as a new reply to this thread.
