Beautiful work. MS361?

Shouldn't You "pay" people to port their saws considering how much material You remove and dispose as scrap?!
I’ve always done it like that. Here's a shop tip that nobody remembers or they weren't taught.
One of my biggest pet peeves is recoil ropes that pull out because of a slipped knot.
So after you melt the rope and smooth it out for ease of installation. You tie your knot and ship it. That's where the problem is. That slick and smooth end will ruin your day when you least want it to. What I do to eliminate that issue is re-melt the end after the knot is tied and flatten/bulge it out with the backside of a pliers or screwdriver. Makes it nearly impossible for the knot to slip out of place then.

I do that also or use a dab of crazy glue on the knot. Here's a shop tip that nobody remembers or they weren't taught.

What do ya use to get the port such a nice polish? I have my sons saw apart and wanted to clean it up while im fixin it.
I get everything close in the exhaust with a hog and then a diamond pattern carbide burr. And then 80 grit emery on a mandrel. In the transfer ports sometimes I leave a burr finish if it’s good enough. Other times I hit it with a stone or diamond afterwards. Polished surfaces get hot. A sandblasted texture would be perfectWhat do ya use to get the port such a nice polish? I have my sons saw apart and wanted to clean it up while im fixin it.

That chain pic says it all huh Will.Checked out the rest of the stuff that was dropped off Monday. Also checked out a FS94 that wouldn't start, found a clogged spark arrestor screen. Also getting a service kit, spool for the trimmer head, plug cover and screw. Talked to the owner of the push mower and he's just going to buy a new one.

Like a hot knife through butta! That chain cut good?
Lol I think it'll cut much better sharpened and turned around!Turn that chain around. It'll run like a ported saw!!! Lol
Hell if its been backwards for a while it might already be sharp!Lol I think it'll cut much better sharpened and turned around!
