Is it just me or does that big gurl have a fancy red light on the side?
Ya it does but it dont light and not the original cylinder on it. When i got it, it was in a box of parts destined for the scrap yard along with couple other saws.

If it does it’s a combination of many saws has a round top on it and only flat tops can be red lights.
I do have the original cover. Maybe one day i can find the parts ( and be able to aford them lol) to bring it back to its original condition. I dont have any airfilter stuff for it. Found some on ebay but cost was crazy expensive. Thats why I got the velosity stack and filter for it.

I’m sure lots of people want that 036 already and I haven’t even rebuilt it yet

You don't have to rebuild it. We have a home for it here -- we will give it a free restoration and a loving and caring home :D
No need to worry yourself over it. We are here for you bro!

So curious what yalls experience is with china carbs. Thats what i got on the 066. I ran better part of a tank through it this morning and seemed good for a few mins then seemed like the low end (idle) was off a bit. Re adjust and all good. Then all of a suddlen after idle it just bogged out and wouldnt pick up rpm. Blipped throttle few time and it straitened up. Did this shortly after again so opened low side a bit and fixed it. Just wondering if i should bite the bullet and buy an oem carb or not. Also whith the nockoff styled k&n air filter how cold can you cut? I also wondered if it was too cold maybe? Was 3C out when I was cutting. I also just cheacked for air leaks befor this time out and passed pressure and vac.

I also have a china carb on my 026 and it seems good as oem with no isues.

I am also interested in the input on these questions. I have ran a clone carb on my 026 and MS260. Two of these carbs ran fine, tuned well and were reasonably consistent. A third I tried in connection with another 026 I was working on did not. It went all wonky kinda like you described. I took it apart and did not see anything apparent -- though I could have missed it. Perhaps others can chime in on their experience. To be fair the first one I tried was a Farmertech carb I have had for a while. It was placed on a rebuild and it cranked, ran and tuned flawlessly. This may be indicating that they are not all the same.

It's the chinese poor quality control. Grab a nice Walbro WT194 for the 026/260s.
The WT-194 is my favorite carb for the 1121 series. I usually have some old carbs and swap the snorkle top onto it for the newer filter style.
These Walbro's have climbed in price. There used to be a guy that sold them on Ebay for $40.00. Haven't seen any that cheap in a long while.
If you have a source I'm listening. :D

Got a case of 30 weight for push mower season coming up soon. Got it put away with the rest of the oil I stock. Ordered a roll of 1/4" fuel hose that will be here Monday. Got a bag of Speedy Dry.

Reassembled the carb on my buddy's Ariens 5520 and it still didn't want to run properly. Pulled it off again and ultrasonically cleaned it for an hour. Reassembled and still didn't want to run properly. There are no adjustments on it except for idle speed. Everything is as clean as possible. New carb will be here Monday. Changed the oil, replaced the plug, greased the auger shaft and adjusted the skid shoes.
