I got this saw and a 49sp both were low hour saws that were getting thrown out at a fire hall up here after sitting on a shelf for the last 15-20 years. The 49 is missing the wrap handle so I’ll need to find one after I get it running. This 52e runs great after complete fuel system clean with carb kit snd fuel line/filter.

Yes it was. They should all have a knock out or screwed on access plate in the back. I just had to cut the spot welds, mount the heat switch for the fan and mount the fan and plug it into an extension cord.

Got this 51 sorted out.
Fuel system clean and rebuild.
Ran kinda funny and didn't want to tune out.
Dumb ass that went through the carb (me) forgot a gasket! Lol
Runs much better with gasket installed, don't know how I missed that...
Drop it in some wood tomorrow for a test run.
Probably see if I can find it a new home if all is well.

Getting my 066 ready. Put new fuel line, filter, and impulse line on it. Flushed the fuel tank a few time and got a lot of saw dust out. Hope it is good to go now.

With this style filter should i have a foam filter over top?

Doesn’t need foam, but it should be oiled

Got started on the parts washer area. This corner is pretty messy so it's going to take a few evenings to get straightened up. Taking my waste oil to work Saturday to dispose of it in our 275 gallon waste oil tank.

Is it just me or does that big gurl have a fancy red light on the side?

Corner is almost done! Planning on finishing up Sunday morning. Just need a case of 30 weight and I'll be all stocked on oil for a while. Recycling my used oil tomorrow. In addition to stocking up on oil I need to get some 1/4" fuel hose, clamps and Speedy Dry oil absorber.

Started on my buddy's Ariens 5520. Replaced the recoil rope and got the carb pulled and blown out with brake cleaner and compressed air. Planning on reassembly tomorrow afternoon. New fuel line installed as well.

the saws just keep finding me this last week or so. Guy at work brought me a 61 rancher and a 49sp jonsred. Few days ago I got a 49sp and 52e from a different guy at work that saved them from the scrap pile. Also got a real nice 036pro that will need a new piston
