I just picked up a 2 stroke motorcycle engine book from 1972 at a used bookstore, they talk about cutting the squish band in it.
Not on the bench, but in the drive way.
International harvester cub cadet 128. Just going through it good. Will be a play toy around the property.
I have a friend who collects Cub's. I would imagine he would be discussing this one heavily. He sold over a dozen at a summer event. Hope you get it all up and going strong.
I think I’ve seen that picture on this forum before. It was a few years ago though. Can’t remember the name of the threadView attachment 262620 any ideas why? Found them Ina customer saw that came in after it failed?

Look at the direction of engine rotation. Some weedeaters turn opposite from others. After replacing all the necessary parts this $40 hedge trimmer turned into a $100 pole saw. It now runs great. The chain runs backwards from a normal chainsaw, is that normal?

I think they’re trying to get the charge started in the right direction. But with the exhaust pressure still higher than the case pressure you can see them back feedingI know the builders name, DNT know him personally, I got 4 saws in that need reported or rebuilt with new cylinders, 2 others from another ported I know of by name only as well and a 460 Stihl that the owner knew was ported but not sure buy who, oddly the 460 needs a new bottom end but the top end held together well, the 460 work is very clean and I have a feeling I know who ported it by work. I was curious if anyone knew why someone would grind the uppers that way, figured maybe learn something new.
