Boot arrived today I'll be installing tomorrow evening. I'll try sneaking it in.I can sneak them out without pulling the jug , but easier to do pulling the jug.
You ever tried to put a boot on a 372 with the jug on? I did and it was damn near impossible!I can sneak them out without pulling the jug , but easier to do pulling the jug.
No all my husqvarna saws are older, but it looks like I'd be taking the jug off.You ever tried to put a boot on a 372 with the jug on? I did and it was damn near impossible!
Hey DJ let me know how you like it and yes sir i do i hate doing that you did a great job@rattler finally got around to this tonight. Better late than never.. waiting on the sealant to cure.[emoji51]
You have no idea how much it pained me to drill this top cover.Turned out okay..
Will do buddy and thanks. [emoji106] I had a busted up cover that's drilled to compare and measure. 1/2" spade bit made a nice clean hole.Hey DJ let me know how you like it and yes sir i do i hate doing that you did a great job

Yes once, your assessment is near correct! You ever tried to put a boot on a 372 with the jug on? I did and it was damn near impossible!
I did an xtorq boot, multiple times, was difficult but not nearly as bad as the original edition.Yes once, your assessment is near correct!

Yup the oe's are much more snug, one I fought with had an AM big bore not that that made any real difference other than I had to do it on more than one occasion due to the tree service that owned it melted it down a few times....I did an xtorq boot, multiple times, was difficult but not nearly as bad as the original edition.
Agreed. That's the beauty of the Husky design over Stihl in my opinion - Remove the muffler brace, air horn supports, and 4 jug bolts, and the whole assembly just lifts off in one piece for many different models.I don't know why anyone would go through the frustration of changing a Husqvarna intake boot without pulling the cylinder when it's such a simple job. Can have them tore down to the crankcase in 15 minutes.
