Still working on the old plastic small Homelite XL. Rebuilt the carb today using gaskets left over from other carb kits, gonna try to make a low budget project out of this one. New fuel lines and then I'm gonna stick it back together and hope it runs. It seems to have a bunch of compression...

394 wrap WAS really pissin-me-off. Couldn’t get the small scrench behind the wrap & didn’t wanna ruin my most used gift ever. Got tired of fetchin the wobble extension, 12mm, and ratshit........Why not ruin the wrap instead ??View attachment 241184

Thank you !!
@Philbert made a small scrench with a leather tether, and a Stihl carb adjusting screwdriver on a loop, I put both on a carabiner and it’s THE most used saw accessory I’ve got, no junk issues of any kind since

Philbert made a small scrench with a leather tether . . . .

I keep my scrench in a back pocket (or a ruler pocket on carpenter style jeans) and tether it to a belt loop. Just takes one hole in the top tube, some boot lace, and a keychain style carabiner:

This is a nice, folding scrench. Works for most things except spark plugs (but I am usually going to walk to my tool / parts kit to do that anyway). 'Rare earth' magnets in the socket makes dropping or losing bar nuts less likely (especially for climbers).
