440 that I sold last week. Guy called me saying it was very hard starting. He brought it by and I found out that Tru Fuel changes the tuning a lot. Readjusted the carb and now it's very easy to get going. Going to heat cycle it a few times to make sure it's okay. In the process the recoil rope jammed itself but a new rope fixed that.

Began working on the basket case 353. Assembled it to the point could do some cutting with it. I put two tanks through it. It ran okay, not great, but it's gonna get stripped back down and either get a new top end or at least a new piston and ring, among other parts.

Hey I got on of those on the bench too! I'm going with a OEM 346 p/c for mine! Had the base and squish cut this weekend and getting ready to do some port work. Have a saw or two to get off the bench first!

I have a pretty good relationship with the city staff in the small town where I live so when they need help with saws and such they frequently come to see me. The superintendent stopped by to see if I had the tool needed to adjust the carburetor on a string trimmer as it just would not wind up like it should...

...of course no amount of adjustment would correct the problem and it barely made any noise when it was running so he left it with me. I removed the screen from the muffler that was completely blocked with carbon, burned it off with the propane torch and put it back together. Problem solved.

The chain belongs to my insurance agent, needed sharpened and when the superintendent stopped to pick up the trimmer he left 5 more chains to be sharpened.

West German built side tensioner 034AV for some fuel system help. Was running very rich as indicated by the plug. Cleaned tank vent, ultrasonic cleaned the carb, have a kit coming. Must be an early one as it's sporting a Tillotson HK43B carb.

You just change the bottom plate to the flat one. I think I paid less than $15 for my Zama C3A carb.
Or you cut the compensator plate off at 45* angle and fill it in with jb weld. Then drill hole in it.
Easy fix.

Nobody said we aren't gonna do that with my 353!
