Need a little 036 help, built this saw as a gift for my uncle I have the parts in the picture and the tank has the stem, but I seem to be missing #22, my question is do the other white parts connect to that? Or is there a better option for a tank vent on these?View attachment 236732 View attachment 236733
Think you need 18-20 as well.

To the best of my memory. The one you have now slips over the opening in the tank, and 18-20 (like Jeff is showing) fits inside the cylindrical tank opening.

I can check a spare tank here for parts and get em to you if you’d like.

On my 036, someone put the duckbill in backwards like the orange umbrella is supposed to be installed. The saw kept leaning out. 3 Carbs, 2 fuel lines, 3 pressure tests and a new impulse line later I looked in tank and looked at vent and had an aha moment.

Thanks Doc, any help would be greatly appreciated.

those craftsman pull start setups suck. You can get a lower pan for 30.00 oem off ebay. I installed a new one he was back a week later with messed up springs. They are sending me a replacement. Breaks again I’m going to give him his money back and tell him to go buy a srm225
