First I was laughing about this crazy customer, but the points Dave and many others point out, I agree with them.
If this customer sell this saw, I feel really sorry for the guy who buy it.

I have done something unethical but was requested by the customer.
Used this jug

With this piston.

But with new rings. Honed and chamfered the ports and piston and it runs like a charm. But for how long ?[emoji17]

I think I would have give it back to him and let him do as he wants.

I should find another one, strap them to a bicycle and call myself Han Solo.

359 E-Tech that came in locked up solid, has been used for milling for the last 11 years. Selling the customer a new 395 XP for the mill and they wanted the 359 rebuilt with new bearings, gaskets and seals, a non CAT muffler, and a 357 XP top end. Just buttoned her back up and she runs slick as a button.

024 with a really bad attitude. FS55 waiting on parts. Craftsman trimmer mower that has fuel system problems. Echo trimmer that's waiting on a tank grommet. FS310 that I have to re-order clutch parts for because stihl can't figure out their stupid inventory! :shakehead:

Acts like it's burned up but it's not. lol Customer's complaint was no power....well...it doesn't run right so what would you expect. haha Piston and cylinder look brand new....pressure tested and the engine held pressure and vacuum. Rebuilt the carb and correctly adjusted the float lever height, new fuel line and filter....Problem I'm having is it's either To Lean or To Rich on the low end and top end. I can get it to idle ok, but it's very sluggish and the top end is super rough....like it's 4 stroking horribly....now yesterday it was running at 15+ rpm at wot and I tried to tune out of it and it would bog...then lean out and back to 15k. lol I've had saws that held pressure/vacuum sometimes and other times not so I may do a test again. But it could be that the carb is just crapped out. Saw has been mistreated most of its life....even had 3 different style chains on it! Oh yeah, forgot to mention I did change the coil out. No difference. Funny an 044 coil bolts right in place!

After some days with the wheel and checking different jugs and their timing numbers it's time to put this 262 together.

I wouldnt learned anything about the wheel if it wasnt because of @rattler, hes taken lots of time to explain all my newbie questions.

Sanded squisband and ended up with 0,018" without gasket.
