View attachment 187777 older gator with engine oil leak, dry rotted rear tires, squealing brake

Them 6 wheels are a beast! Got one at work with 1/2 turf 1/2 knobby tires, can’t get it stuck. Just added a 50gal spray tank on it, so it’s off-roading days are done.

my brother's last saw a year 2000 288xp lite
20190625_181946_HDR.jpg before he shut down his timber company and retired.
I rebuilt it year's ago new meteor cabers seals line's etc.
but never ran it.
The governed carb had issues
Found a nice tillotson rebuilt it.
And put on a new tsumura 24"
And lgx
Wish i could find a metal brake flag
He took all the flags off his saws
Always did
He was a faller for over 35 year's.

Don't know if this will help anybody, but I was given another epa gas can today.

They all need vents....

Easy I have dozens on hand.

The push to pour spout was broken. So thats a little problem. I never found a way to seal them to my liking..... Until just now.

I just received a box of parts and the first bag on top was 10 weed eater purge bulbs.

Fits nice and snug. Just going to have to make sure it's dry when replacing it otherwise I'm sure it will blow off.

But dry I pressurised the can to 10psi and it didn't blow off. Going to try 15 tomorrow after the seal all on the vent fully cures.

It's a free tip so take it for what you paid hahahahaha

Steven

Edit: those little suckers hold tight. I stopped at 20psi think they might be a winner.

The new no spill gas cans are crappy compared to the old style metal ones. The cap also lets water into the fuel in the rain after the rubber seal leaks or falls out after a few weeks. Have to put a plastic bag over the cap to keep water from getting in if left outside. Garbage.

Got a TS800 and I ask myself why? Hate these machines. Came in because it wouldn't start. I pull the plug and it's dripping! Leaving it dry until tomorrow and then I'll see what's up. I know it has spark and it's getting fuel so it should start. Hopefully they just flooded it!

Sheared threads on the plug?!
That sucks.

There is no quality control anymore nowadays, and the used materials get worse in favor for a higher profit margin.

I'll be honest
Ngk sparkplug factory is 30 miles from me
Let's just say
It's got some uninspiring worker's.
The mtv show buckwild was filmed there
Sissonsville wv.
I know many of the worker's lol
I can get champion for 1.50
I've been running them for year's no problem.
I used to only buy ngk but had a couple aggravating failures
Out in the woods and a couple customer rebuild saws
On brand new plugs
Just my opinion but their quality has slipped.

Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the info. They have been the only plug I have been using for a while now, but I guess I have just been lucky. I will check them more carefully before using.

Ya it seems like it has, I have had several odd issues, but that’s with hundreds and hundreds of plugs! Lol have seen some autolite issues, and champions don’t always have the correct heat range for some of the stuff I do. It seems like ngk has the most options for heat ranges.
