That would have worked. My wife and I only ate half.

The mix that goes in your poppers -- is that recipe available?
I love Jalapenos. Been eating the at Mexican restaurants -- they call them Chile's Torreados. Basically a Jalapeno grilled on the flat top or in a black iron till the skin is soft. Then they sprinkle a little seasoning on.
Goes great with fajitas. Marvelous!

Pretty simple.
Philadelphia Garlic & Herb cream cheese and a hunk of cooked bacon on top.
I grill at 375*-400* until the peppers are tender.
I also do a filling of Shrimp, Lime Aoli, Cream Cheese and a piece of bacon that don't suck.

Looks like some good eating there Charlie!
I haven't seen ribs on sale all year. I've been looking but back ribs haven't dropped below $3.49/lb. I can normally find them from $1.99-$2.49/lb at least two or three times a year.

Pretty much the same here. Found them for $2.99/lb once in May but have been &4.99 or higher since.

Yes, if not less than $2.99 per lb. I will not buy them.
Same here Charlie. At 2.99/lb, I'll buy a few. At $1.99/lb I'll buy a case.
It doesn't make sense, pork butts have been cheap, as low as $.88/lb and loins have been $.99/lb-$1.29/lb this year but ribs have stayed high.

Pork butts were on sale here for one week, @ 1.99 . Just did 16# sausage yesterday with the LEM. Ribs are never cheap here if they even have them. I lucked out!!

In our area a store called "Food Lion" has been running butts for .99 on sale. I think the baby backs are $1.99 there this week.
It is interesting how different prices are in different parts of the country. Sure do love some smoked meat.

Used to shop at Food Lion all the time when I lived in New Bern while stationed at MCAS Cherry Point.

Butts are always on sale here for $.99/lb and baby backs are always $1.99/lb on sale. What surprises me is we used to buy 10lb bags of leg quarters for $.49/.59 a lb (several years ago could buy 'em for $.19/.29 a lb)...now you can't hardly find them under $.79/.89 a lb anywhere.

You sound so much like an old friend of mine. He was stationed at Cherry Point and a Jet Mech.
Sgt Simmons. Every heard of him?
