@huskihl mentioned this yesterday, number one reason I busted the wings out of the freezer.
He was referring to regular Frank’s hot sauce...and it’s fine as well mixed that way. The Italian adds an edge, and the butter gets‘ it just right. Some good stuff!

Trying something different today. Saw someone mention these elsewhere on the interweb, and I'm neck deep in cabbage and apples right now, so I figured I'd better try it out. They're filled with apples, onion, bacon, some melted butter, bbq sauce and apple cider. 235° and some applewood. We'll see what happens. rps20200926_150511_669.jpg

Very interesting. Can't say I've ever seen this before. Hope to get the finished pics.

Well, I wasn't that impressed. Luckily being disappointed in a cabbage is a lot cheaper than being disappointed in a brisket! I think if I try it again I'll wrap them from the start, and maybe run the temp a little higher. These were kinda big cabbages, and they just didn't cook as thoroughly as I like. I pulled one a little bit ago and chopped it up. Tossed it in a pan to finish. It'll be good eating, but it's not like it came off the grill ready to go on the plate.

And brisket

Soon to be followed by more pork and brisket. When I serve my bbq I need a sign like you do when you do tree work near a busy road. NOT FOR SALE. But I can't say no to family and friends. Off to Costco for another 50 lbs of pork then to grab another bag of Rockwood.

Wings on Wednesday. With some taters and brussel sprouts. Didn't grow the salt or the rub, but otherwise...rps20201002_194023_031.jpg rps20201002_194051_836.jpg

Ribs yesterday. Some berkshire seeds we started in May. Not super meaty for spareribs, but tasted great. rps20201002_194112_580.jpg rps20201002_194145_809.jpg
