No worries, I had to google it, never heard of it before!

I've seen several trimmers through our shop with them on. People over 6' like them, although I never could quite get the hang of it (I'm 5'11"). It increases the distance from your hand to the shaft, which increases the twisting torque of the machine on your wrist.

You have to have it adjusted perfectly to you. Mine are adjusted that when I'm using it, both my arms are all the way down. The only fatigue is my grip strength.
