I've seen several trimmers through our shop with them on. People over 6' like them, although I never could quite get the hang of it (I'm 5'11"). It increases the distance from your hand to the shaft, which increases the twisting torque of the machine on your wrist.

You have to have it adjusted perfectly to you. Mine are adjusted that when I'm using it, both my arms are all the way down. The only fatigue is my grip strength.

I have yet to find a sling/harness I like but even with your Popeye arms I bet you would struggle a bit with my FS550 or FS350 after a bit of time.

I had one of those fs550's and found a Stihl harness that fit me well. Mowing an acre of four foot grass on foot, was a breeze using the 4 string head. It was sure easier in every way than my fs250, except on fuel. It was a breeze to deforest an area and no cutter I tried, slowed it down. But I no longer needed it and sold it.
