This is one of our pole saws at work. They managed to break the intake manifold, and I think that caused it to overrev enough to float the valves and knock the rocker out of place... Came to me "it feels like it has no compression..."

I am still fighting the C26-2 on my FS131. I see a lot of folks mentioned the Speed Feed. What model fits the 131? I would like to run .105

I don't know whether You can get these over the pond, but them being sold in online shops I see no reason why not.

I have ran hard 3.2mm round nylon line in mine, and I now have it loaded with even harder 3.0mm sharp edged square nylon line (which is actually "heavier" than round line due to its shape).
I got my head on sale for 11€, I wish I had bough half a dozen of them.
It is a heavy head at 140mm OD and the cast aluminum line outlets are shaped perfectly to prevent line breakage.

This is mine, I love it.

Online shop, this one even features an aluminum bump button.

The lines I feed it.

Good luck in Your pursuit.
I know the struggle.

It will take away some of your power, which you don't have much of anyway / I am ignoring engine damage or transmission destruction

To say the FS131 is lacking in power seems odd.
I also have a FS350 and FS550

You have better fuel there, so a smaller brushcutter will be more powerful than a larger one 😉

What is the difference between the 400-450-500?
Physically they're the same size, but the 500 holds more line. I don't even think the 450 is made anymore, but I'm sure there's old stock on the shelf.

I just watched "chickanic" complaining about the 500. I have a speed feed on an old Husky around here somewhere. I need to go see which one it is.

I took a Shindiawa branded Speed Feed 450 off a Husky tonight but it does not fit the 131.

I guess I need a Johnny Cash adapto-kit

To fit a Stihl, you need the green threaded adapter and that black plastic washer.

Edited to add that that picture I posted above is what you get whenever you order a universal Speedfeed. So if you don't have the green insert and the plastic washer, then it certainly won't fit. But if you do, just disassemble it and change out the gold insert for the green.
