I’m restoring my newly acquired Allis Chalmers chainsaw (Poulan 25s). The green is the right color (idk why someone redid it in red once crappily). Does anyone know the right shade of spray paint I need in whatever brand or can someone point me in the right direction? I’d like an exact closest match to original as possible.

Go to a place that mixes automotive paint and take a piece that is still poulan green and have them match it.thats what I did and you can't tell which one is factory paint.

Okay, I’ll try that if I can’t find something else. 👍🏻 It’s not actually Poulan green, this is a different shade.

How much are you seriously willing to spend on paint? I can take one into a couple paint suppliers Monday and get a match but you need to be prepared.

Do you have Allis Chalmers chainsaws? If you want to get me a price you can and I am prepared. I’ll have to research if there are any paint suppliers that’ll match like this near me. I’m not working on this saw for a bit or buying parts because we are still moving my shed and stuff and I don’t have a place to work on something like this right now.

Yes I have Allis Chalmers saws. I have many of the models but not the 85 reciprocating saw or a orange Canadian 295. I have the 65 orange and the 75 in green. The 75 is pretty clean and would make a good paint match sample

Very cool. So I have the model 75? From the research I did mine is the 65…

Hat is the difference in terms of price, ease of application, and looks when it comes down to either using a rattle can or a can of paint for a project like this?
