I’m
Run ten tanks through your saw and take a look at the top of the piston through the spark plug hole.
won’t happen I run red armor and have tore saws (multiple) down with it and I’m sold on it…just ran out of mix and had to use a gallon so curious what the saw lords think about it or if anyone uses it lol

I ran red armor for a good while, but my local source ran out when I needed oil last time so I picked up some Maxima K2.
How did you like the red armor…I don’t get to crazy on oils but tried it in a weed eater and blower before I tried it in my saws and was like damn this *s-word is actually pretty good…so that’s where I got stuck using it…

And also how you like the maxima compared to the red armor???

Its very good. One of the best IMO. I did bore scope my saws and my sons lawncare equipment ran on it for an entire season. Excellent results and great residual oil.
Maxima great oil too. Been running K2 off and on since it came out many years ago. Very clean at 32:1.

Ya when I first started trying it I use it in the blower and weed eater, sometimes I’ll let them sit and idle while I’m moving something or whatever and I noticed after few months no build up at all and ran fine so I started running it in my saws bout 40-1 ain’t had an issue….

It's fd rated so it can't be that bad. I don't know why but I think they make vp oil. Or both made by the same parent company?

Both are made by Lubrication Technologies. The question is whether they are the same oil. I am having trouble finding the correct SDS sheet for Castrol to compare them. Interestingly, though, the Castrol JASO certificate number is suspiciously close to numbers held by Husqvarna. Maybe it is blue for a reason?

So something I've wondered for awhile if you Google running Dominator in saws it says it lacks corrosion inhibitors and fuel stabilizers. So is there a issue with that oil stuff sitting in that for a weeks? Months? Years? Sometimes I run saws non stop for a month and sometimes they sit without being touched for 3 or 4 months depending on the saw. Any issue with rust? Or is Google pulling this from something a idiot said on another form?

I don't have issues with Dom about rusting. But I NEVER run my stuff with corn gas.
