What oil is best? and what ratio?

It looks a lot like orange bottle stihl mix ,it actually made better power in the weedeater than the dirt bike oils i have .

Olympic oil ltd in chicago Ill makes it they use to blend the oil for stihl and mcculloch back in the late 80's early 90's

In WHAT equipment? Air-cooled, I expect you foul plugs, clog spark screens, and have oil dripping out the muffler?

I expect Amsoil Sabre is synthetic? if so, you can probably run 50:1 at 2.6oz/ gal.

Why??? Sabre is designed for saws and other similar small engines. I run 32:1 because that is what I was told to do in my ported saws. No plug fouling, plugged screens or any other issues. I'm not changing what works.

Redbulls oil test opened my eyes.

I use 32:1 in everything. But......I found that I had to find a thinner oil for the A/T and M/T saw to run right at that ratio.

Belray H1R was too thick for them, but I still believe it protects better than any other oil.

My take is it is good stuff also ,but like you said a little thicker so when made for an engine producing 50 hp ,that is most likely ok ,our saws put out 5-9 hp tops ,when the power is that low ,you can tell a difference in power with oils ,every time i pulled my muffler with h1r everything looked nice ,but loaded at high rpms i could feel some misfire in the hopped up saws over some other oils .

I think the Klotz has better wear. It may make a little more soot and carbon but the leftover oil on underside of the pistons and skirts is a good bit more than the H1R was. My biggest complaint was tuning them. Some of the saws were almost 2 turns out on the H to get back under 14k and were 1-1.25 turns out on Klotz.
